In a proactive move towards preserving cultural heritage and bolstering educational resources, Provincial Minister for Culture, Tourism, Antiquities & Archives, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, embarked on a comprehensive tour of various libraries in Larkana, accompanied by Culture Secretary Mr. Khalid Chachar.
The tour commenced with a visit to the renowned Mohenjo-Daro, where Minister Shah, flanked by Culture Secretary Mr. Khalid Chachar, delved into the historical significance of the site. Syed Shakir Ali Shah Director Mohenjo Daro briefed about updates of Mohenjo Daro and ongoing activities.

Continuing his visit, Honorable Minister paid a visit to the Khan Bahadur Ahmad Khan Bhutto Memorial Library in Noudero. During the inspection, he meticulously reviewed the facilities and underscored the importance of accessibility to knowledge for students and locals alike. “Ensuring easy access to knowledge is paramount,” he emphasized, while surveying ongoing extension works aimed at enhancing the library’s capacity.
The tour culminated with a visit to the Sir Shahnawaz Khan Bhutto Library, where the Minister was joined by esteemed guests, including Member of the Sindh Assembly Mr. Jameel Soomro and local officials. Resident Director of Planning & Development Works, Culture Department Sindh, Mr. Roshan Ali Kanasro, provided an overall briefing on the development schemes and their significance in the broader context of cultural heritage.
Immersing himself in the library’s ambiance, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah issued directives for an overhaul of facilities, including the procurement of new furniture and ensuring basic amenities like clean water. He pledged to modernize the library by digitizing its resources and providing additional books, computers, and laptops, thus enriching the learning experience for patrons.
